Half clips from previous seasons, half a clip from the new season. Greendale!
I swear I have something for this. But for now just check out the full Archer Season 5 poster in all its glory.
The Plymouth Roquefort Burger
Happy Thanksgiving! This onion stuffed turkey burger is cooked in a cranberry reduction. The Roquefort cheese gives is a complex and rich saltiness that complements the bittersweet cranberry relish. Served with sweet potato fries and stuffing!
This is the most involved burger I have made to date. First I made the cranberry relish and reduction. While that was going, I started chopping up the sweet potatoes and heating the oil for the fries. About halfway through the fries I put on the stuffing. I’ve got three burners going and I’m not even at the burgers yet. I finish cutting fries and the stuffing is done, the cranberries are almost. So I take off the stuffing and I start frying.. things are going well. The cranberries finish halfway through the frying and I go and separate the liquid from the relish. Taste test? Check. I love cranberries.
Okay so the stuffing is getting cold and the fries are almost done. Throw the stuffing in the oven on low to keep it warm. Turkey burgers are a bit difficult to cook since they are so lean. I mixed in some onions and an egg and plopped those on high heat with some butter. Things are going well, the fries are halfway done.Take the stuffing out of the oven. Where are those really nice buns I bought? The cranberry walnut wheat ones? Okay, put those under the broiler to toast them and turn up the heat a bit. Turkey burgers are coming along, and now I’m done frying. What’s that smell? Oh no did the oil catch? No… then what is it.
NO MY BEAUTIFUL BUNS! I left them in too long and now my apartment is full of smoke. Okay add the cranberry reduction to the fry pan to finish the burgers and take care of this pesky alarm. Throw the burning buns outside for now.
Good thing I had one more boring bun left… I was so disappointed in the burger’s presentation, but let me tell you it was delicious. The cranberry relish matched absolutely perfectly with the Roquefort. The burgers were moist and delicious. The fries were just perfect… and the stuffing was dry. I would definitely make this burger again.. but I think it might be a two person job.
So how did Rick and Morty, your new animated original series, begin?
Justin [Roiland, co-creator] had always been sort of playing around with these very intense, strange characters. They started off as a kind of punk rock, sneering immolation of a relationship we all grew up on, which is the one between Doc Brown and Marty McFly, and they kind of evolved from there. I think there was something about this insane, sociopathic, gruff character who keeps burping while he’s talking and this kid who keeps asking these questions, the answers to which are, “I don’t have time to answer that question.”
Awesome interview with Dan about Rick and Morty and Community
Jon Hamm and Amy Poehler threw a post-Emmys party for losers last night, and they raise $30,000 for a worldwide orphans charity in the process.
I missed this in September, but it is worth bringing to your attention. These two? Awesomesauce.
Christopher Evan Welch, who appeared onstage in numerous plays, in films including Steven Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds” and “Lincoln,” Paul Thomas Anderson’s “The Master” and Woody Allen’s “Vicky…
Sad news. I only know him from “Rubicon,”” but I know he was excellent in that.
